Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, we recommend booking your transportation service in advance to ensure availability and to receive the best rates.

A vehicle repossession occurs when a lender takes back a vehicle after a borrower defaults on their auto loan agreement. In Florida, repossessions are governed by state law and the loan contract.

If your vehicle was recovered by KDVM:

  • You must schedule an appointment in advance.
  • A valid government-issued ID is required.
  • Personal property (not attached vehicle equipment) will be returned.

Please contact our office to arrange pickup.

Redemption is handled through your lender. Appointments are required.

Walk-ins are not accepted.

KDVM has a contractual obligation to your finance company to complete full post-repossession processing, including but not limited to:

  • Vehicle condition report
  • Inventory of personal property
  • Photographs
  • Inventory documentation
  • Video inspection

In addition, your vehicle may be blocked in by other vehicles at our secured lot.

We require at least 24 hours’ notice after receiving a lender release to properly process and make your vehicle accessible for redemption

Pursuant to Florida Statutes 493.6404, KDVM Transports LLC is legally required to complete an accurate inventory of all personal effects inside the vehicle at the time of repossession.

We must securely store inventoried property for up to 45 days in compliance with Florida law.
